Do you need to take a break from getting your nails done?
No, nails do not need a break unless you personally want to take one. There is a myth that nails need time to breathe, but nails are made of keratin, which is dead and does not require air. However, if you develop a nail fungus, you will need to take a break while undergoing treatment.
How old do you have to be to visit us?
You can get your nails and eyelash extensions done once you are 13 years old. For permanent makeup, you must be over 18 years old. If you are under 15, you must be accompanied by an adult. There are no age restrictions for our other treatments.
How long do the nails last?
The durability of the nails varies depending on the type of nails you have done. If you get regular nail polish, it won’t last as long as gel. The durability also depends on how much you use your hands and for what activities. A tip for those who type on a computer or mobile phone: avoid using your fingertips.
- Gel polish on hands: 3-4 weeks
- Artificial nails: 3-4 weeks
After 3-4 weeks, you can come back in and have a filling done on artificial nails, or have new gel polish applied.
How can you do anything with such long nails?
The nails are, of course, made according to the customer’s wishes. However, if you want long nails but are unsure how to manage daily tasks with them, we recommend starting with shorter nails to get used to them. When you come in for a refill, we can maintain the length. This way, you will gradually adapt to the feeling of having long nails and learn how to handle them.
Do you make nails for nail biters?
Yes, we are happy to do that, so please book an appointment with us. You can book either by phone or online.
Can you get your nails done even if you are pregnant?
It is not dangerous to get your nails done while pregnant; this has been tested and documented. However, it is a good idea to have your nails done in a well-ventilated place. We also recommend opting for gel nails, as they do not have strong fumes like regular nail polish.
Can you go to a tanning salon with artificial nails?
Artificial nails can change color when exposed to strong UV light. This can happen in a tanning bed but also if you travel to sunny destinations. When artificial nails are exposed to intense UV light, they may fade or turn brownish. Therefore, it is a good idea to protect them, which can be done by applying a layer of Vaseline.
How are regular nail polish and gel nail polish different?
Gel nail polish has become increasingly popular over the past 4-5 years as a great alternative to regular nail polish. Regular nail polish typically takes 20-30 minutes to dry. Gel polish, however, is a bit different, as it is cured with a UV-LED lamp, which completes the process in just a few minutes. This means that with a UV lamp, the polish is set immediately.
Gel polish is often applied by a professional trained in this specific type of polish, which also makes the price slightly higher. However, gel polish comes with a number of benefits:

Why are my gel polish nails bubbling or peeling?
If you experience your gel polish bubbling or lifting at the edges, it is likely due to applying too thick a layer. If you are applying gel polish yourself, make sure the first layer is as thin as possible—it should be almost transparent.
If the polish is not bubbling but peeling off, this could be because the nail was not filed before the polish was applied. It is also a good idea to apply a sealing layer along the edge of the nail. This helps seal the polish and prevents it from chipping easily.
Every nail is different, so sometimes extra care and attention are needed.
How do I make my eyelash extensions last as long as possible?
You should avoid getting your eyes wet for the first 48 hours. Especially during this period, but also afterward, you should avoid steam baths, saunas, or any other places where you are exposed to hot steam. Mascara on your eyelashes can cause wear, so it should also be avoided. However, it is a good idea to brush your lashes daily with a mascara brush to clean them and keep the hairs separated.
